1. Tell me about the name of your company “Presto Travel & Tours”?

Answer

‘Presto' is an Italian word mostly used in music and which means quick or quickly. Before Presto Travel & Tours was started, travelers to Kenya and Africa were at the mercy of what is referred to as traditional travel agencies. It was not uncommon for one to ask for a quote only to get it after a whole week if one was lucky.
This attitude and slowness had to be brought to an end by establishing a travel agency that would work quick, smart and save money for clients.

2. What is the difference between “Travel” and “Tour”?

Answer

The word “tour” has several different meanings in the travel industry depending on the context.
I would say travel is the name associated with the industry and the tour is a word associated with the operation.

I go to a travel agent to book a holiday. The Travel agent will offer me a choice of holiday with a certain tour operator that is, if they do not combine the two segments of travel and Tours as it is with Presto Travel & Tours.

In other words, the travel agent takes my money and the tour Operator is responsible for my holiday.
Think of it like a restaurant. The waiter takes my order (the travel agent) and the chef cooks the food (the tour operator).
